My name is Jade, a 24-year-old traveler and culture enthusiast originally from a small town in Calabria, southern Italy. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been captivated by the idea of exploring the world—not just as a tourist, but as someone who truly immerses herself in different cultures, languages, and ways of life.
At 16, I took my first big leap: I won a national scholarship with “AFS Intercultura” and moved to China for a year. I lived in the amazing city of Guangzhou with a Chinese family, attended a local high school, and threw myself into a completely different world—one that fascinated and challenged me in ways I never imagined. That experience changed everything. It ignited my passion for global discovery and set me on a path I couldn’t turn back from.
After finishing high school in Italy, I knew I wanted more. I returned to China and pursued a degree in International Business. My university journey was marked by unexpected challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced me back to Italy. But rather than staying still, I embraced a new adventure and moved to Switzerland, where I worked and built a new life while continuing my studies online. Eventually, in 2023, I returned to China to complete my degree and graduate, making the most of my time by traveling across the country and deepening my connection with its culture.
Switzerland is now my home base, a place where I’ve found peace and balance amid its breathtaking landscapes. But my heart is always drawn to new destinations. Over the years, I’ve explored places that have left a lasting mark on me and every journey has taught me something new, shaping the way I see the world and reinforcing my belief that travel is the best form of education.
